Automation, energy distribution and transport Becker Warkop is part of Becker Mining Systems and is a company

with which Eurologos Gliwice has long been working in Poland. The three fundamental sectors in which Becker Warkop Systems specializes are automation and communication, energy distribution and man and material transport ( www.becker-mining.com ). Founded in 1991, the Polish

subsidiary markets and partially manufactures the traditional group product ranges: floor-mounted rail trap systems, monorails, roof support, shearer drums and conveyors. It is regarded as one of the most important suppliers to the mining industry in Poland.

Using SDLX and by respecting the group's technolect Eurologos-Lisbon was chosen by Goodyear Dunlop Tires Portugal to carry out the localization of their European website into Portuguese (about 35,000 words). This tire maker has a long tradition of innovative solutions for the comfort and safety of drivers and ranks second in Europe as a tire producer. This project, very important as a

means of corporate communication, had to respect the technical precision specific to its activity, as well as the group's identity technolect, all while still being clear and "selling". In order to face these challenges, we selected terms so as to obtain a glossary approved by the client. Next, the in-house translation and revision phase was completed using SDLX in order to take full advantage of all the possible benefits

in terms of textual cohesion and terminological research before the interface of the glossary (reduction in cost and production time for the client). Proofreading and final check allowed for verification of compliance with objectives established by the client, and an after-sales follow-up confirmed that the needs of the client had been satisfied.
