Sascha Leib, Eurologos localization manager responds to five questions on the prospects of his division

The future of software and website localization

After technologies, comes multilingualism
Multilingual software, online help and website localization immediately makes you think of IT specializations, cutting-edge data extraction techniques, expertise in the detection of bugs, testing procedures or the latest Internet programs for the Web. Thus, from the IT expertise of personnel (naturally), to the IT equipment necessary for various types of localization. With more than ten years experience in this field, it is not that rare to find at the international level, companies that have sound experience in localization. Nevertheless, once this very crucial technical problem (in know-how and equipment) is resolved, the one involving the multilingualism, geo-styles and financial nature (price and production speed) of localization remains! Since June 2004, when Sascha Leib assumed the responsibility of Eurologos' localization (after nearly 10 years of international experience in the area), he has reflected in practical terms about these market problems and provided us with a rather clear framework for the situation.
