Different quality controls
Before reaching the crucial "ready for printing" stage, one must go through the "ready for translation" (after having checked what is called "translatability") and the "ready for layout" (after having checked the linguistic quality) stages.
This last step is of course preceded by several checks on the orthosyntactic, semantic (faithfulness and relevance), terminological precision and (geo-)stylistic quality levels of the text.
As the Eurologos Group uses freelancers fairly often, all production sub-contracted to freelancers is submitted to in-depth checks on the part of the office in the country where the target language is spoken.
From their inception, texts by freelancers are really revised and validated before being delivered to the clients (See also "Quality control of freelancers' work").
It is legitimate to question how exclusively local translation agencies can ensure quality control in foreign languages!
